Mary M. White, 94, formerly of Monroeville, died Monday evening, March 26, 2012 in the Elmcroft of Medina, Medina, Ohio.
She was born December 27, 1917 in Monroeville and was a 1936 graduate of Monroeville High School. Prior to her retirement, Mary worked as a teller at the former Farmers & Citizens Bank in Monroeville for many years. Her hobbies included drawing, painting, golf, playing the piano and especially her laundry and ironing, which she took great pride in.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville.
She is survived by three daughters: Jane (William) Saettel of Medina, Janet (Jeff) Skaggs of Huron and Jackie (Matt Courtney) White of Philadelphia, PA., five grandchildren: Christopher, Nathan & Courtney Saettel, Lauren & Meredith Skaggs, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harley L. White in 2008, one daughter: Joan White in infancy, her parents: John & Lucy (Hohler) Wilhelm, three brothers: Milt, Bud & Charles Wilhelm and one sister: Alma Schwan.
Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. The Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
