Ann Hammons

Ann Hammons, 67, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at The Meadows at Osborn Park in Huron.

Ann was born on January 20, 1956 in Sandusky to the late Emerson and Mary (Trook) Altvater.

Ann graduated from Margaretta High School in 1974. She was employed at the Ohio Veterans Home for 25 years retiring in 2020. In her spare time, she loved playing the lottery and watching game shows and soap operas.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hammons of Sandusky; son, Randell Hammons of Cleveland; significant other of 34 years, Rick Hemmer of Sandusky; two sisters, Debra (Rolly) Kelley of Burlison, Tennessee and Mary (Lenny) Kaufman of Sandusky; brother, Carl (Donna) Altvater of Alabama; two granddaughters, Alisiannah Adcock and Alexandrea Long; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the time of Memorial Services at 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding.
