Glenn was born November 15, 1933, in York Township, the son of the late Lester Sr. and Ada (Elmes) Hackenburg.

Glenn never went anywhere without his favorite pet, Sadie.
In 1998, Glenn retired & spent his days spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family, watching the Cleveland Indians games, going to the Amish country, bird watching, going to country music concerts, and taking bus trips to various places.
