John Scott Goins, 51, residing in Sandusky and formerly of Wellington, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Providence Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Scott was born on September 16, 1971 in Cleveland, OH and was a 1989 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. He will be remembered for the love and support he had for his children. Supporting them in 4H and sporting activities in Wellington and Sandusky.
Scott is survived by his wife, Julie Goins, whom he married on July 15, 1995. He is also survived by his mother, Debra Goins of North Ridgeville, OH; children, Kaylie R. Goins of Wakeman, Peyton M Goins, and Trace N Goins of Sandusky; granddaughter, Dakota Lynn; sisters, Kris Goins of Olmsted Falls, OH, Kelly (Jamie) Taylor of North Ridgeville, OH and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Scott is preceded in death by his father, John Haywood Goins, Jr.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
