Jessie Marie (Thompson) Phillips, 96, of Wakeman, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Norwalk Memorial Home after a brief illness.
She was born on June 9, 1926 in Denney, Ky. to William and Ida (Hardwick) Thompson.
Jessie was married to Goldmon Phillips. She was a homemaker her entire life. She was very talented; she could look at something and make it. She loved to crochet and had a green thumb, a trait that has been passed down to her family.
Jessie is survived by her daughters, Wilma (Tom) Russell and Margie Phillips, sons Richard (Vicki) Phillips of Collins and Howard (Ginger) Phillips, 5 grandchildren; Heidi (Phillips) Kerklin, Thomas Russell Jr., Bill Russell, Jennifer Phillips, Roby Phillips, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, brother Estil Thompson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jessie was preceded in death by her sisters Rosetta Watson, Ora Bertrum, Opal Carlton and Betty Jean Clark.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 5th at 11:00 am at Collins Cemetery, Hartland Center Rd, Collins.
