Audrey J. Perrine, 80, residing in Kalamazoo, MI and formerly of Sandusky, OH, and Ann Arbor, MI, died Friday, October 8, 2010, in Park Place Assisted Living, Kalamazoo, MI.
She was born on March 8, 1930 in Sandusky, OH, and was a 1948 graduate of Sandusky High School. Audrey was employed by J.C. Penny and New Departure Hyatt in Sandusky, OH, and retired from the University of Michigan in 1986. She was the coordinator and supporter of the Myasthenia Gravis Support Group in Kalamazoo, and was an avid fan of The Ohio State University.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Steven) Cronkite, Kalamazoo, MI; sons, Ronald J. (Denise Snyder) Perrine, Niles, MI, and Gary A. (Cheryl) Perrine, Dexter, MI; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Perrine, Buchanan, MI; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Perrine, on July 25, 1979, whom she married on August 14, 1948; parents, Ralph and Mary (Schrader) Roesch; sisters, Dorothy Wendt and Mary Eileen Schmidt; brothers, Edmund Roesch, Wayne Roesch, and Donald Roesch, in infancy.
Friends may call on Monday, October 11, 2010, from 6-8 P.M. in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Prayer services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home, followed by a 12:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 2680 Horizon Dr. SE #C9, Grand Rapids, MI, 49546, or to the American Diabetes Association.
