Irving G. Hansen, 90, Berlin Heights, died Monday, April 3, 2023, at his residence.
He was born in Toledo, OH on July 10, 1932, to the late Marvin and Rose (Snyder) Hansen.
Irving attended Tri-State University and received his masters from Toledo University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1952to 1954.
He retired from NASA after 34 years of service.
Irving loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and restoring the old farm house in Michigan.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn (Champion) Hansen; children, Kurt (Colleen) Hansen, Milan, Colleen (Bill) Johnson, Paris, MI., and Eric (Theresa) Hansen, Sandusky; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lydia Harding; and a brother, Marvin Hansen Jr.
At his request, cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South St., Berlin Heights is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com
