Nannearl (Nan) C. Greenman, 73, of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April, 4, 2023.
Nan was born February 8, 1950, the only girl in a family of six to Ward and Carol Brake. Nan went to Sandusky High School, pursued a career in hairstyling, but found her calling as a homemaker and full-time mom. She met the love of her life, Leo L. Greenman and married him on March 25, 1967. They recently celebrated 56 years together.
She was a life time resident of Sandusky, raising and nurturing her five children to be the best they could be and always reach for their dreams. Nan had so many talents and skills that even a general contractor would be jealous of. From painting to cooking, baking to gardening, she made her house a home and filled it with love. There was never a holiday or event that she wouldn't celebrate and make it so fabulous, that it would be unforgettable for everyone that attended.
She may have had five children of her own but all the neighborhood kids would call her mom and enjoy eating her freshly baked cookies when they came over to play. Nan will be remembered for so many things but always for her gentle touch and her beautiful smile that lit up her eyes.
Nan is survived by her husband, Leo; children, Scott Greenman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tamara Greenman, Carmen (Patrick) Sprouse, and Samson (Meredith) Greenman, all of Sandusky; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Stephen; her parents; and her brothers.
A private celebration will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Charities because she believed no child should suffer from cancer.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is caring for her family.
