Theresa Shoemaker, 90, of Bellevue, died Monday, April 17, 2023 at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born September 15, 1932 in Bellevue to Paul and Lucille (Moscorelli) DeLiberto. Theresa was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Church. She graduated from Bellevue High School and enjoyed her years of watching children in her home. In her free time, she loved reading, baking, knitting, crocheting, and embroidering.
On April 27, 1957 she married Paul E. Shoemaker. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2021.
Theresa is survived by her children: Jeffery (Karla) Shoemaker of Toledo; Jill (Mark) Buhrow of Maumee; Joan (Dennis) Hosang of Rockford, Illinois; grandchildren: Theresa Shoemaker; Dixie Shoemaker; Stephanie (Anthony) Vitro; Jessica (Tom) Ritter; Melissa (Jack) McEwan; Nicholas (Monika) Hosang; Lauren Hosang; great-grandchildren: Tommy Vitro; Elania Vitro; Evelyn McEwan; Olivia McEwan; Amelia Hosang; sister, Carma McGuire of Bellevue; brother, Russell (Rose) DeLiberto of Indiana; sister-in-law, Nancy DeLiberto of North Carolina.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Theresa is preceded in death by her sister, Ignatia (George) Trapp; brother, Carl DeLiberto; and brother-in-law, Robert McGuire.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Auxter Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue. Her funeral mass will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St, Bellevue. Rev. Albert Beltz will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bellevue.
