Martha Roesch, 81, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday, April 15 at home with her family by her side.
Martha was born on December 21, 1941, in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Clarence and Hazel Reynolds.
Martha attended Sandusky High School. She was employed as a Nurses Aid at the Ohio Veterans Home for 18 years, retiring in 2002. Martha was a life member of the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association serving as Chief Steward and Vice President of her union for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends and spending quality time with them.
She is survived by her daughters, Jody (Don) Yost, Jeanette (Jim) Niehm, Jennifer (Scott) Brindley, Julie (Charles) Farrar and Jackie Roesch (Jamie Jarczynski); and her sons, Joe Roesch and Travis "Jeff" (Lisa) Roesch, all of Sandusky, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Roesch; sister, Mary Katherine Akers; brother, Clarence Reynolds Jr., and her two grandsons Chad Roesch and Logan Farrar.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 20, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 East Perkins Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m. at Groff Funeral Homes. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
