Doris Louise Wade, 87, formerly of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Lake Point Healthcare Center, Lorain.
She was born March 15, 1925 in Sandusky, the daughter of Arthur and Ida Gassar.
Doris was a homemaker and simple person who appreciated the small things in life and enjoyed life every day.
She is survived by her niece; June (Bernard) Myers of Norwalk and two nephews; Robert (Joan) Hassinger of Virginia and Randall (Gayle) Hassinger of Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband; Ralph Carlock, second husband; Melvin Wade, sisters; Evelyn West and Carolyn Nickoli and nephew; Timothy West.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Private burial services will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
