Danny L. "Dano" Lang

Danny L. "Dano" Lang, 59, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Friday, April 6, 2012 while in Biloxi, Mississippi.

He was born August 27, 1952 in Sandusky, Ohio to Emil "Sonny" Lang, Jr. and Mary C. (Smith) Lang. He was a 1970 graduate of Perkins High School and attended Otterbein College. He was employed for over 37 years at Ohio Bell, Ameritech, and SBC Global.

Dano's hobbies included golf, bowling, boating, and tailgating with friends and family for Cleveland Browns games. He was a Sandusky Elks #285 member and the secretary of the Tuesday night Paramount Bowling League at Star Lanes. He was an active bowler in the Lakeshore Men's League at Riverview and the Sandusky Elk's #285 League at Star Lanes. He spent his retired days assisting his family at Lang's Body Shop.

Dano is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Ryan) Smith, Sandusky; son, Jarrett (Jenna) Lang, Sandusky; grandsons, Quinten and Connor Smith; mother, Mary (Smith) Lang, Sandusky; brothers, Emil Lang III, David (Rhonda) Lang, Scott (Pamela) Lang, and Robin (Sheila) Lang; sister, Milissa (Jeff) Matter, all of Sandusky; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan (Toft) Lang on June 21, 2000; father, Emil "Sonny" Lang; brother, Ronald, and his sister, Susan.

Friends may call on Wednesday, April 11 from 3:00-8:00 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Friends may also call on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Friends and family are welcome to a celebration of Dano's life at the Plum Brook Country Club immediately following the burial services.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
