April Lynn Blankenship, 55, residing in Huron, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
April was born on February 16, 1968 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Dorothy (Wise) Zirkle.
April was a 1987 graduate of Huron High School. She worked as a home health care provider and had a huge heart, loving everyone she cared for. April was a member of Victory Temple in Sandusky where she had been very active over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
April is survived by her two sisters, Jane Scroggy and Wanda Carpenter, both of Sandusky; four brothers, James (Lana) Thorne of Huron, Ohio, William Chambers of Huron, Ohio, Danny Zirkle of Lorain, Ohio, and twin brother Mark Thorne of Kentucky; special friend, Rick Rasnick of Huron, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her mother, April is preceded in death by her sisters, Vinnie Thorne and Martha Thorne.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 with Luke Walters presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
