Lorraine Robinson, 78, of Sandusky and formerly of Bellevue passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at The Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
She was born July 24, 1944, in Brownsville, Texas the daughter of Lester and Frances (Galloway) Weisz.
Lorraine worked as an administrative secretary for many years, first with GTE, First National Bank, and lastly for the City of Bellevue. Lorraine was a member of the Sandusky Yacht Club where she volunteered for countless events, and she always looked forward to the Regatta. Throughout her life, she was involved in various civic and social organizations, notably the Committee to Grow Bellevue, as well as the Habitat for Humanity in Sandusky. Lorraine loved being by the lake, flower gardening, and birdwatching. Lorraine's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Bellevue.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Teri) Robinson of Bellevue; daughter, Rachelle (Charles) Wygle of Akron; 4 grandchildren: Josh (Ryan) Robinson, Kelli (Brad Bloom) Robinson, Nicholas Wygle, and Evan Wygle; and great grandson, Duke Bloom; and siblings, Roy (Roberta) Weisz, Charlie (Rita) Weisz, and Kathy (Loren) Eldridge.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Amy Reese and all the nurses at the Firelands Infusion Center, along with the staff at Parkvue Assisted Living and Stein Hospice for providing exceptional care of Lorraine.
Friends will be received on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Dr. Diane Carter will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 428 Kilbourne Street, Bellevue.
Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice or the Erie County Habitat for Humanity.
