Anthony Ray "Tony" Cavello

Anthony Ray Cavello, "Tony" unless he was in trouble with his wife, left us too soon on May 15, 2023.

He was born April 21, 1969 prematurely to Donald Cavello and Laura Arnold; a born fighter. They both survive him.

Tony graduated from Norwalk in 1987, and attended BGSU where he earned his electrical engineering degree. He did have a passion for engineering, but that was only one of many. Tony was an avid Cleveland sports fan his entire life even though they would constantly disappoint him. At his request he will lay in rest with a marker that reads "Not in my lifetime", with a Browns and Indians (Guardians) logo lovingly stamped. Tony also loved to golf, and he was very good at it. If he was not golfing on the league he ran for years at Sycamore Hills, he was golfing with Dad. We suspect his time on the course with Dad was less about the scores, and more about the pure enjoyment and laughs they had. A sign hung in Tony's home which read "If there ain't golf in heaven, I'm not going." We know it is there for him, and we know he is already several rounds in.

Tony also had a passion for superheroes, comics, his little red Miata, and finding Bigfoot. His friends and family hope he ascended to the heavens knowing that he was OUR superhero. A fighter to the end, he never gave up. The family is accepting ideas for how to send the Miata with him. As for Bigfoot, we will continue the search, for Tony. By far, Tony's biggest passion was for his beautiful wife Stacey. From the moment they met he loved and protected her with a vengeance. Tony gave his sisters a very stern talking-to about a responsibility to watch over Stacey should anything ever happen to him. We heard you loud and clear, dear Brother, and will honor those wishes. Tony was our little family's rock. If any of us needed academic help, he was there. If we just needed some advice, he was there, but it did not stop at just family. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Tony knows he was the most giving, unselfish human being you could ever know. He had a heart that was larger than life and his passing will be felt by many. Tony always had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. A spot that was just for them; fatherly. Left to cherish the memories made with Uncle Tony are nieces Kacy, Leanne, Portia, Nemo and Nora, and nephews Owen, Adrian, Jonah and Eslen. In addition, Tony will be missed every day by sisters Tanna Cavello, Katie Stevenson, Kelley Sumner and Rose Cavello, brothers Tag Cavello, Todd Cavello, Rick Stevenson and Dave Sumner, second Dad and Mom, Don and Carol Brough, and fur kids, Rags and Asher.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Vivek Abhyankar "Dr. Vik" and staff, and also the Kemper ICU unit staff at Fairview Hospital.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

At the family's request because it is how Tony would want it, his service will be casual. They ask that you wear your favorite sports team apparel. If it is a Cleveland team, great! If not, we know Tony will forgive you. In lieu of flowers, please donate prayers to the Cleveland Browns with the hope that they get it right one of these years...for Tony.
