Donna Jean (Bailey) Erckman, 79, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, May 13, 2023 at Providence Care Center after a brief illness.
Donna was born on October 21, 1943 in Sandusky, OH to the late George W. and Mabel (McManus) Bailey.
Donna retired from Firelands Regional Medical Center after many years of service as a general care nurse. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sandusky. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, puzzle games, crossword puzzles, genealogy, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson, Logan.
Donna is survived by her three sons, Glenn L. Erckman III of Sandusky, William J. Erckman of Sandusky, and Scott C. Erckman of Orlando, FL; one grandson, Logan Erckman of Brunswick, OH; one brother, Richard "Rick" (Mary) Warren of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Glen L Erckman Jr. in 2002, and one son in infancy, Matthew.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Claar presiding. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
