Ronald Dean Biglin, age 69, of Bakersfield, CA, and formerly of Castalia, passed away at his home on April 2, 2023.
Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was born August 31, 1953, to Willard G. and P. Gloria Biglin who proceed in death.
He grew up in Castalia, and was a 1971 graduate of Margaretta High School. Growing up, Ron developed a love for dance and theatre. He was a talented performer and choreographer. He often entertained for family, friends, and community with dancing and stage performances.
Ron also had a very successful career in the travel industry for 48 years. He owned and operated Kern Travel in Bakersfield for many of those years. He loved to travel and had travelled all over the world.
Ron is survived by his husband Jerry Meade and their children Justin (Shant) Meade and Samantha (Dylan) Beatty; two blessed granddaughters Penny Ann and Phinley Rose Beatty, whom he loved dearly; two loyal dogs Baxter and Bitsy; brothers Denny (Mary) Biglin, and David (Geneva) Biglin; sister Debbie (Charlie) Conrad-Krawetzki; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 PM Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 606 S. Washington St., Castalia. The building right behind Ransom Funeral Home.
Ron also had a love for dogs. He rescued and raised many throughout his life.
