Kathleen Marie (Barry) Persinger, 89, residing in Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
She was born on March 29, 1934 in Detroit, MI, to the late Laurence C. and Josephine M. (Cote) Barry.
She married Gene H. Persinger on June 12, 1954 in Columbus, OH and they raised their five children before retiring to Marblehead, OH during the summers and wintering in Murrells Inlet, SC.
Kathleen treasured her friendships at Bay Point, Marblehead and with fellow snow birds in SC, residing there in her later years. Her Catholic faith and lifelong belief in God's blessings sustained her always.
She is survived by her children, Lynn M. List, Murrells Inlet, SC, Brent J. (Phyllis) Persinger, Columbus, OH, Mark L. Persinger, Marblehead, OH, and Todd A. (Lynn) Persinger, Spring Hill, TN; grandchildren, Leah Persinger, Bremerton, WA, Jared (April) Persinger, Yelm, WA, Houston (Camille) Persinger, Spring Hill, TN, and Clayton Persinger, Columbus, OH; four great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene in 2011; parents; son, Scott A. Persinger in 2014; and brothers, Laurence C. Barry and Patrick Barry.
