Frank Resor Sr., age 94, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Twilight Gardens Home.
He was born August 28, 1928, in Norwalk to the late Mildred and Florian Schaffer.
He worked on the railroad for 35 years, enjoyed spending time with his family and was a former member of the Alliance Church. He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.
He is survived by his children, Clifford (Michelle) Resor of Vermilion, Bertha "Sis" (Lenny) Noster of Wakeman, Frank Resor Jr. of Norwalk, Donny (Delsie) Resor of Norwalk, and Richard (Norma) Resor of New London; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom Resor, Virginia Morris, and Carol Tempe; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sharon Calhoun; son in infancy, Carl George; siblings, Vera Slagle, Bonnie Geriblin, Harold Resor, Bob Schaffer, Roy Resor, Doug Resor, Martha Resor, Martin Resor and Betty Penson; and his grandson, DJ Resor.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment at North Fairfield Cemetery.
