John W. Anderson Sr., 76, Sandusky, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Firelands Health.
He was born on March 6, 1947 in Sandusky to the late Nelson and Ida Mae (Hoelzer) Anderson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed by General Motors for over 34 years and was a certified boat captain.
He loved fishing, playing pool in several leagues, member of the Sandusky Eagles, American Legion Post 83, and the local union #913.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolynn Anderson, Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Felicia Marie Riedy, Nicholas Allan Sebetto, and Gracie Marie Sebetto; a great-granddaughter; sister Patty Sartor, Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Anderson; parents; son, John Anderson Jr.; and brothers, David Anderson, Thomas Anderson, and Terry Anderson.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 1 P.M. in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde. The U.S. Army will provide a military tribute.
