Barbara A. Rainey, 76, Sandusky, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, in Providence Care Center.
She was born to Doris and James Davis in Anderson, SC, on November 1, 1946, and accepted our Lord and Savior at an early age. Barbara was one of four children.
She graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1964and worked for WSOS in Fremont and was a home health aide until she retired.
Barbara had no children, but was a second mother to her nieces and nephew. She loved crafts, making floral arrangements for her home, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her brothers, James (Madaline) Davis and David M. Davis; nieces, Sherri (John) Clark and Kelli Davis; nephew, Anthony Davis; great nieces, Shayla L. Brown, and Lyric Davis; special niece, Rayven Davis; great nephew, Shaki Davis; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Hilda M. Davis.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 12 P.M. Noon in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Supt. Latham Stowers will give the eulogy. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
