Marilyn Miller, 87, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born August 31, 1935, in Bellevue, the daughter of Samuel Ira Hackenburg and Emma Augusta "Gusty" (Weilnau) Hackenburg.
Marilyn loved to craft, knit, and crochet. She was very involved in the arts and enjoyed making costumes for productions at the Bellevue Society for the Arts, as well as Park Productions in Florida. Her brush with fame was ironing show clothing for Kenny Rogers at the State Theatre in Sandusky.
She married Clayton Miller on November 24, 1956, at Immaculate Conception Church; He survives along with two daughter, Kim (Kip) Perkins of Port Clinton and Lisa Miller of Dublin, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Belle Beatty of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gail Frederick; sons-in-law, Charles Hassinger and James Frederick; and brother, Lamar Beatty.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 2-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral Mass will begin on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice or the Bellevue Society for the Arts.
