Wyatt Scott Duchette, 8 years old of North Fairfield, passed away in a house fire in Norwalk, Ohio, Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
He was born January 6, 2015, in Norwalk, Ohio, to Andrew Donald Duchette and his mother, Dakota Rae Jones. Wyatt just completed the 2nd grade at Western Reserve Elementary School in Collins, Ohio.
Wyatt was one of the most pure, kind-hearted souls you could ever meet. He was a giver; his smile made your darkest days so bright just by his presence, not just to his family but to everyone who encountered him. He loved motorcycles, sports, BMX bicycling, the outdoors, wrestling, and boy, did he love his family.
His father, Andrew Duchette, survives him; his little sister whom he adored, Harlee Rae Duchette; his big step-brother whom he loved, Paxton Lee Burke; his mother, Dakota Rae Jones; his grandparents, Dawn Alberts (James Davic), Kim Duchette (Angela), Michael Jones, Jennie Mingus Dreschel (Timothy), his favorite Uncle in the world, Chad Duchette (Megan), cousins Gabi Duchette (Tug), Isabelle Duchette (Mason), Alex Shuker, Gavin Shuker and so many other cousins and family members who loved and adored him.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Donald A. & Shirley E. Alberts (Tripp), and his Uncle Scott A. Shuker and Great Uncle Donald A. Alberts Jr.

A message from Wyatt's father, Drew: Please hug and kiss your children, you can never hug them enough, and you can never tell them you love them too many times.
A sincere thank you to the Norwalk and Milan Fire Departments and Norwalk Police Department for doing their absolute best in such a horrific situation. We also thank so many families, friends, the Huron County community, and Western Reserve School District for so many acts of kindness to our family.
Wyatt was a kind, loving little boy. Let's honor him by keeping that memory alive and being KIND to one another. Love your family, life changes in the blink of an eye.
