Terry Wayne Montgomery 59, Sandusky, passed away Thursday June 8, 2023 after a long illness, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Terry was born July 15, 1963 in Coldwater, MS to Queen (Cox) Montgomery and Fred Montgomery Jr.
Terry was a 1981 graduate of Coldwater High School, in Coldwater, MS. He later moved to Sandusky, OH, where he was employed by several local restaurants. He was later employed by Bob Evans as a line Cook and was employed with them for nearly 30 years.
Terry loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing and sharing his love of fishing with his friends and family, he enjoyed teaching his nieces and nephews how to fish. Terry loved gardening and making meals with the vegetables he grew. He also enjoyed music, movies, and sports.
Terry is survived by his mother, Queen (Cox) Montgomery, Sandusky; sisters, Dianne (Chris) Baylor, and Felisa (Diarnelle) Nickelson; nieces, Shalise (Tarius) Holt, Kierra Nickelson; nephews, Quentin Montgomery, Kyle Nickelson, and Christopher Baylor Jr.; great nieces, Layla Montgomery, and Margot Holt, and a great nephew, August Holt; maternal uncles, Duke Cox, Frank (Nettie) Cox; special cousins, Arrenza (Bobbie) Cox, RC Miller (Glenda), and Addie B Love; paternal aunts, Rosie Marshall, Mary (Ira) Jackson, Martha Braxton, and Izella Montgomery and host of cousins, other family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred "Doug" Montgomery; father, Fred Montgomery; aunts, Ethel Cathey, Dora Cox, Thelma Cox, Lillian Montgomery, and Dorothy Montgomery; uncles, Wille Cox (Cozie), and William Smith.
Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m., Noon, in the East Parish Street Church of Christ at 1219 E. Parish St. Sandusky, OH 44870. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is handling the arrangements.
