Robert Leroy Yeager, 72, of New London, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, after a long illness.
He was born on September 27, 1950, in Sandusky, Ohio to Andrew and Joanne (Bagley) Yeager.
Robert was a Veteran of the Marines who proudly served his country from 1967 to 1971. He was employed as a Truck Driver at District Petroleum before his retirement.
Robert was a loving husband and the greatest father. In life he was a Steelers Fan, enjoyed model trains, putting a smile on people's faces with his inappropriate jokes, taking care of the yard and spending time with family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Schenko) whom he married on November 21, 1975. Robert is also survived by his daughter Jamie (David) Wallace of New London, OH, Bobbie (Robert) Ward of Castalia, OH, daughter Tina (Scott) Dorrance of Lorain, OH, daughter Toni (Michael) Kelly of Buckhannon, WV, son Steve (Danielle) Penrod of Huron, OH, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister Dreama (Roni) Sturzinger of Sandusky, OH, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Robert was preceded in death by his Parents.
There will be a celebration of life on Father's Day June 18, 2023, with just immediate family.
