Darius Junior Gough, 73, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday evening, June 17, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
Darius was born on April 2, 1950, in Barber County, W.V. to the late Ethel (Duncan) and Darius James Gough.
Darius was a dedicated truck driver for 21 years for Zeiter Trucking. He was a member of Maple City Church of God. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and automotive work. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Darius is survived by his children, Darla (Craig) Polta and Dana (Mechelle) Gough, both of Norwalk; stepson, Kevin (Amy) Prater and sons of Georgia; 6 grandchildren, Daylin, Daison, Dayn, Caitlyn, Damon, and Devin; 8 great-grandchildren with 1 more on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, Darius was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Dotson and Etta Hamons.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11 am in the funeral home. The procession and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
