Steven P. "Jinx" Jenkins, 64, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lifelong battle.
Steve was born on February 13, 1959 in Sandusky, OH and was a 1977 graduate of Sandusky High School.
He was an ordained minister and was the President of the Sons of God Motorcycle Ministry for nine years. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed race-cars, Nascar, and racing at the Sandusky Speedway. He loved his family, and greatest joy was his grandkids.
Steve is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sherry (Gillam) Jenkins; children, Jason Jenkins, Benjamin Jenkins and Amber Jenkins; five grandchildren, Marihanna Jenkins, Cedric Lawrence, Rowan Jenkins, Aretta Jenkins and Zander Jenkins; sister, Patty (Charlie) Jenkins; brother, Rick (Elizabeth) Jenkins; mother-in-law, Aretta (Gillam) Smith; sister-in-law, Karen (Jerry) Lyons; family, T.J. Manner, Erica Walton and Elaina Yado; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Arlene (Ward) Jenkins; father, Oscar Jenkins; and step-mother, Janice Jenkins.
A Celebration of Life will take place on his wedding anniversary, August 17th, 2023. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
