Carol Fresch, 83, residing in Huron, passed away early Sunday morning at The Meadows at Osborn Park after a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 18, 1939, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Robert Farrell and Mary (Hoelzer) Lawrence.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky.
She graduated from Sandusky High School. She retired from Cedar Villa as a server after many years of service and had also been employed with Roman Villa and the IAB Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, her cats, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, David A. (Mary Doerner) Fresch; three grandchildren: Jacob Fresch, Put-in-Bay, Nicholas Fresch, Cincinnati, and Kassie Fresch, Sandusky; one sister, Judy Hunter, Huron; two brothers: Gary Lawrence and Dale Lawrence both of Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, David C. Fresch in 2016, her stepfather, Wayne Lawrence and one brother, Robert Farrell.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky, with Fr. Monte Hoyles officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sandusky, Ohio.
