Ronald J. Turton, 87, of Berlin Heights, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at after a brief illness.
He was born on May 21, 1936 in Lorain to John and Dorothy (Jaworsky) Turton.
Ronald graduated from Lorain High School in 1959 B. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy who proudly served his country from 1957 to 1959. He was employed as a Meat Cutter for many years at Polansky's Meat Market and went on to own Jamie's Floor coverings until his retirement. In his spare time, Ron was a talented musician and enjoyed drawing, painting, wood carving and spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Elaine (Jamie) Turton, whom he married on August 29, 1959. He is also survived by his daughters, Laura (Paul Everett) Willis of Sandusky, and Cathleen (Dean) Reichert of Mountain Home, Idaho; sons, John (Sue) Turton of Chesham, England, ,and William (Cindy) Turton of Berlin Heights, OH; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother John Turton Jr. and sister Audrey Kayle.
The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date.
