Kurtis "Kurt" Jameson

Kurtis "Kurt" Jameson, 65, of Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Kurt was born on July 24, 1957, in Norwalk, OH, to the late Barbara (Seitz) and Kenneth Jameson.

He attended St. Paul Catholic Church and was a member of OHIO Operating Engineers. Kurt was a heavy equipment operator, starting at Huron County Landfill, moving onto other construction companies, then finally retiring from Kokosing. Kurt was not one to sit still and was currently working at Meijer stocking shelves. When he wasn't working, he was happy at home with his grandbabies there to yell at. He enjoyed Huron Tiger Football games with Ayden, softball and basketball with Elijah, becoming a Cincinnati Bearcat papa with Melina, watching and supervising Linny and grandma's crafts, baseball with Adam, eating ice cream with Maddy, and his new sport that he was learning, soccer with Noah. Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent together for holidays and birthdays. He was an avid wrestling fan and was at every event that he could make it to. He was always the "#1 FAN" for everyone in his family.

Kurt was a collector of remote-controlled airplanes that he would build himself to fly once or twice, crash, and rebuild. He also enjoyed watching the Browns and Indians games, usually screaming at the T.V.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Deborah (Jensen) Jameson; his 2 wonderful daughters, Angela (Dave) Bartzen of Huron, and Michelle Jameson of Norwalk; his 7 amazing grandchildren, Elijah James, Red, Bean, Buddy, Noahie Bear, Madeline Robert, and Adam Elizabeth, (names Papa gave them all). He is also survived by his best friend and furry companion, Riely Ann; his 5 sisters, Kathy (Mike) Brindley, Kim (Tim) Cunningham, Kellie (Dave) Ehrnsberger, Katy (Kendall) Grosswiler, and Kris (Jon) Miller and 1 brother, Kenneth (Angela) Jameson, and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Kurt is preceded in death by a brother and baby brother who died at birth.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857.

Memorial contributions in Kurt's memory can be made to the American Lung Association, 55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
