Bonnie L. Crawford, 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born on January 14, 1940 in Morgantown, WV to the late George and Exa (Howell) Shisler. On January 22, 1958 she married Robert L Crawford and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2019.
Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of New Life Church. She shared her love with more than 20 foster children over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking and going to garage sales. She loved spending time with her family, especially on their vacation trips together.
Bonnie is survived by four daughters, Debra (Donnie) Clark of FL, Pamela Thomas of Green Springs, Wilma (John) Cunningham of Castalia and Rebecca (Jim Buchanan) Crawford of Sandusky; two sons, Michael (Arlina Dietrich) Crawford of Norwalk and Timothy (Sonja) Crawford of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren, Steven (Dawn), Jeremy (Cindy), Jonathan, Adam (Kayla), Robert (Julie), Justin, Paul Ryan (Haley), Jordan (Victoria), Arielle (Ken), Christopher, Nicholas (Amber) and Noah (Sam); 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ida Taft of Collins, OH Freda (Tom) Keyser of Morgantown, WV and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Lilly Hope Taylor sister, Glenna Henline; brothers Bob, Lloyd and Daniel Shisler and K-9 companion, Chica.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Pastor John Adams will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
