Catherine J. Pine, 60, of Avon, formerly of Berlin Heights, passed away peacefully Saturday July 29, 2023.
Cathy was born on November 24, 1962 in Sandusky, and grew up in Berlin Heights where she enjoyed all of the offerings of a small town.
In her teens, Cathy participated in the Special Olympics as a swimmer. She made it twice to the state finals in Columbus. In addition to swimming, she enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping and dining out. She was an avid Browns and Bengals fan.
Catherine is survived by her sister, Carol Pine of North Ridgeville, OH.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Helen (Hemchak) Pine; brother, Frank (Judy) Pine Jr.; sisters, Loretta (Dave) Holler, Francie (Tom) Horwedel, and her twin sister Cindy Pine.
A heartfelt thank you to the ICU doctors and nurses at Cleveland Clinic, Avon for their outstanding care and compassion.
Private entombment will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
