Irene F. (Daisher) Kurtz, 88, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born December 28, 1934 in Bell Township, Pennsylvania to Blaine and Marie (Bouch) Daisher.
Irene graduated from Punxsutawney High School. She was a homemaker, and took great pride in caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, taking care of her house, and spending time with her family.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Diane (Rich) Lentz, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Jason (Shana) Lentz and Heather Lentz; great-grandchildren, Maia and Leah; sister, Shirley Swarmer; numerous in-laws; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin P. Kurtz, in 2018; and brothers, Clarence "Toot" and Clair Daisher.
Friends may call Monday, August 14, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm with Pastor David Hixson presiding. Private burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery.
