Charles Randle "Randy" Pirtle, 72, of Middle Bass Is., passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born February 25, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles and Gloria Jeannine (Griffith) Pirtle.
Randy graduated from Hilliard High School Class of 1969. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard who proudly served his country from 1969 1973. He was employed by Muller Martini for nearly 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, traveling, motorcycling, and spending time with his family and friends.
Randy is survived by his beloved companion, Diane Tallon, of Olmsted Twp., OH; sister, Laurie (Mindy) Pirtle; and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rick and Rob Pirtle.
Per Randy's wishes cremation will take place. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 25 from 4 8 P.M. (a service will take place, starting at 4:30 P.M.) at Olmsted Twp. Community Center, 7900 Fitch Rd. A second celebration will take place at a future date this coming fall on Middle Bass Island.
