Shirley M. (Reising) Pete, 86, of Oberlin, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at her home.
She was born on June 11, 1937 in Lorain, Ohio to Leonard and Eleanor (Mitchell) Reising.
Shirley graduated from Firelands High School, then married her husband, Ken, on April 21, 1956, together they had four children. She was employed as a Machinist at Hamco for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her son, Kenneth Pete, of Oberlin; daughters, Brenda L. Hall, of CO, and Susan Pete, of South Amherst; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; twin sisters, Eleanor Dobis and Lenore Smart; sister-in-law, Susan Pete, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Pete, in 1990; and daughter, Kimberly L. Pete, in 1964 and her sister Joanne Camp.
Private services will be held. Internment will be in Camden Cemetery.
