Darlene J. (Laisy) Youngeberg, 94, of Wakeman, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born June 13, 1929 in Avon to Alfred and Eilene (Castle) Laisy.
Darlene attended New London High School. She was employed as a floral designer at Puffer's Floral Shop in Oberlin for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed floral design, bird watching, and especially spending time with her family.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Sandra Youngeberg, of Olmsted Falls; son, William (Diane) Youngeberg, of Wellington; daughter, Peggy (Tim) Weisenberger, of Norwalk; and daughter, Lisa (Mike) Fannin, of Wakeman; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Jackie (Ed) Johnson; and numerous other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Boss" Youngeberg, in 2008; and grandson, Josh Weisenberger; in 2021.
Friends may call Friday, September 1, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Mel Sayler presiding. Burial will follow in Wakeman Cemetery.
