Bonnie L. (Phillips) Krenzer, 91, of Berlin Heights, passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 31, 1931 in Moffett, OK to Archie and Bonnie (Wright) Phillips.
Bonnie graduated from Ozark High School in Arkansas. She came to Berlin Heights in 1960 where she married her husband and worked for the former Union Chain, Sandusky, as an expeditor until 1967. Bonnie and her husband were very active in the community and over the years owned and operated several businesses: Shoopees, Teaco Inn, and the Alaskan Drive-In. For the past 25-plus years, Bonnie was known as "The Goose Clothes Lady." She sewed and crafted costumes for everyone's porch goose and sold them at flea markets and craft shows across Ohio and Pennsylvania. She especially loved traveling and meeting people and made many friends far and wide.
Bonnie is survived by the loves of her life; her daughters, Donna (Kenneth) Veliz, of Berlin Heights, and Penny (Timothy) Fox, of Norwalk; grandsons, Joseph (Michelle) Veliz, Philip (Melissa) Veliz, Mathew Fox, and Samuel Fox; great-grandchildren, Henry Veliz, Louise Veliz, and William Veliz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Krenzer; sisters, Anna Lee Thralls and Madeline Whitson; and brother, Keith Phillips.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
