Marilyn L. (Champion) Hansen, 86, of Berlin Heights, passed away Fri., Aug. 25, 2023, at her home.
She was born July 30, 1937 in Jamestown, Indiana to Earl and Lois (Wells) Champion.
Marilyn graduated from high school in Fremont, Indiana. She married Irving Hansen on June 7, 1956 and moved to Berlin Heights, where they raised their family and enjoyed life together. Marilyn and Irv were inseparable. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering at Sandusky Memorial Hospital for many years, reading, gardening, and everything in nature surrounding their home.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Colleen (Bill) Johnson, of Paris, Michigan; son, Erik (Theresa) Hansen, of Sandusky; son, Kurt (Colleen) Hansen, of Milan; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with her 12th on the way; sister, Marlene (Dave) Goodwin; sister-in-law, Bobbie Champion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irving in April 2023; sister, Colleen Champion; and brothers, Charles (Ila) Champion and Galen Champion.
Private services will take place at a later date near their family farm in Michigan. Cremation has taken place.
Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, is handling arrangements.
