Pamela Simons, 67, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at Twilight Gardens, Norwalk, after a lengthy illness.
Pamela was born on March 21, 1956, in Sandusky, OH to the late Dale and Rita (Ackerman) Muehling.
She worked at Decko Products and then she and her husband Jim (deceased) owned and operated Gilbert Plumbing; she retired from the Catawba Island Club working as an accountant throughout her career.
She was a past member of Zonta Club of Sandusky. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, bird-feeding and nature, Lake Erie, walking, gardening, yoga, shopping and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Wyatt Simons, whom she married on November 24, 2012. She is also survived by her daughter, Lori (Zach) Terzo of St. Augustine, FL; son, Matt (Megan) Stookey, Sandusky; stepdaughters, Alison Simons of Norwalk, and Kelsey (Jack) Beckett of Catonsville, MD; grandchildren, Nolan, Layla, Aiden and June; brother, Mike (Lori) Muehling, St. Charles, IL; mother-in-law, Jean Stookey, Sandusky and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Pamela is preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Stookey in 2003 and her father-in-law James R. Stookey.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky with Fr. Monte Hoyles presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
