Evelyn (Rinner) White, age 87, of Norwalk, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at her residence.
She was born October 22, 1924 in Norwalk to the late Peter and Mary (Goretzki) Rinner. She worked at Fanny Farmers for 15 years and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Women of St. Paul. She was well known as "grandma" and a greeter at MAW'S Place in Milan, as well as an avid euchre player.
She is survived by her sons, William (Cathy) White of Wakeman and Mark White of Norwalk; daughter, Jeanie (Alex) Winkler of Milan; sister, Mary Conley of Norwalk; brothers, Bernard Rinner, Tom Rinner and George Rinner all of Norwalk; three grandsons and three great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. White; daughter, Marcia E. White; and a grandson, Alan Winkler.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Eric Mueller, associate pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
