John Howard Sergent, 64, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on February 2, 1959 in Sandusky to Howard and Estelle (Sluss) Richmond.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served his country from 1976-1979. He retired from MTD in 2020. In his spare time, he enjoyed a variety of sports including fishing, pool, and dart ball, and softball. He also loved watching football and playing cards with family and friends.
John is survived by his sister, Jacqueline (John) Eckhardt; brothers, Jerry Richmond and James "Jimmy" Sergent; and numerous other relatives.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Sergent.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of John's life will be announced at a later date.
