Donald "Dutch" Greulich, 92, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at his daughter's home in Oregon, Ohio, after a brief illness.
He was born on May 2, 1931 in Sandusky to the late Edward and Rose (Wisehart) Greulich.
He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who proudly served his country during the Korean War and was decorated with the Purple Heart. He was employed with Sandusky Cement and retired from J.C. Ready Mix in 1993 after many years of service as a truck driver. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #83 and the VFW Post #2529. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking. Dutch could build and fix anything, loved the water, swimming, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports teams; he was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Greulich (Krafty), whom he married on May 6, 1967. He is also survived by his daughters DeAnn Bohlander, Sandusky, and Heidi (E.J.) Materni, Oregon, Ohio; three grandchildren Megan (Nathan) Davidson and Magdalyn Materni, both of Columbus and Evan Materni of Knoxville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanne (Herzog) Greulich; his daughter Dawn Ferback; 6 brothers: Raymond, Richard, Robert, Eugene, Floyd and Norman; three sisters Josephine, Catherine and Marjorie.

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 27, from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 9:30 a.m, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky with Fr. Hoyles presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
