JoAnn M. Parron 84, Berlin Heights, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.
She was born in Elyria, OH on August 29, 1939 to the late John and Helene (Flood) Hahn.
She graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1957 and proudly served as the homecoming queen in 1956-1957.
JoAnn worked as a educational aide in science and social studies with the Berlin -Milan School District in the middle school for 23 years and grade school for 5 years. She also worked for Berlin Heights country pride and Cedar Point cash control where she enjoyed working with college aged adults for 20 years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, and American Legion Auxillary Berlin Heights. JoAnn was honored this year as the Huron County Senior Fair Queen, and also at the Norwalk Memorial Home . Her family gave her the title of Soup Queen for making her delicious potato soup. She was a very care giving person.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Erika) parron, Scottsboro, AL, Ron (Mindy) Parron Jr., Grand Junction, CO, Jane (Jeffrey) Stuhldreher, Norwalk, and Becky (David) Gebelle, Huron; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Parron Sr. in 1990; and a brother, John "Jack" Hahn.
Friends may call on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral mass at 11:30 A.M. in St Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron, OH 44839. Father Bob Sanson will officiate. Private family burial will take place in Riverside cemetery, Berlin Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron.
