Virginia L. (Nabring) Lawrence, age 82, of Norwalk, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born December 31, 1929 in Norwalk to the late Franklin and Elizabeth (Harr) Nabring. She was a 1948 graduate of Norwalk High School and worked at Norwalk Truck Lines in her earlier years. After raising her children she worked as a cook at EHOVE for 17 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, North Fairfield Eastern Star, Farm Women's Club, Firelands Audubon Society and was the Superintendant for the Huron County Fair's Home Arts Department for over 20 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching, cooking and baking. She loved spending time and taking care of her family and pets.
She is survived by her husband, Dean A. Lawrence of Norwalk; children, Carolyn Andres of Republic and Richard Lawrence of Norwalk; grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Andres, Kaylee Lawrence and Tara (Matt) Kluding; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Brady; and a daughter, Ruth Ann Boyce.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. Adrian N. Doll will officiate. Burial will follow at Hester Cemetery.
