Carolyn graduated from Huron High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Ashland University. She was an elementary teacher in the Sandusky City Schools, having retired in 2004 after 35 years of service.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Patricia (Charles) Coutellier of Hillard, and her brother Bill (Sue) Rudy of Delaware. In addition she is survived by a nephew, Christopher (Lindsay) Rudy of Columbus, and two nieces, Tracey (Jeff) Travis of Columbus, and Melissa (Rev. Carolyn's family gratefully thanks Lois Wynn for her dedication and the loving care that she provided for Carolyn, as well as her close friend Leslie Foxworth, who often visited and checked in on Carolyn during her declining health and passing.
