Ruby M. Rieger, 75, of Norwalk and formerly of Monroeville passed away peacefully Monday, November 27, 2023, in the Fisher-Titus Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born February 5, 1948, in Marietta, Ohio and was a graduate of Fairless High School.
She retired from Fisher-Titus Medical Center and prior to that was employed at the Renaissance House in Norwalk.
She was a member of the Congregational Community United Church of Christ. Her hobbies included reading, working on puzzles, watching western movies, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Sally (Henry) Stolly of Bellefontaine, Joanne (John) Stubler of Norwalk, and Richard (Jill) Rieger of Bellevue; her grandchildren, Dylan, Danielle, Mallory, Aubrey, Patrick, and Kendra; her great granddaughter, Peyton; her siblings, Raymond Rouse of Beach City, Ohio, Russell Rouse of Dundee, Ohio, Robert Rouse of Monroeville, and Rosemary Amerine of Norwalk, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Rieger in 2010; her father, Donald Rouse; her mother, Ethel (Pritchett) Rouse, and stepmother, Katie Rouse; siblings, Ronnie Rouse, Ruth Gates, and Donald Rouse in infancy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in the Congregational Community United Church of Christ, 29 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational Community UCC or to the donor's favorite charity.
