Barbara's role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, and she extended her warmth and care to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. Barbara's family was the cornerstone of her life, and she created a home filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of delicious meals.
Throughout her life, Barbara was a dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky, where her faith nourished her and those around her. She was a member of the American Legion. Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Alongside her husband, she enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians and Browns.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Harold Baaske Jr; six children, Debbie (John) Rosenstock of Illinois, Pam Frisch of Fremont, Ohio, Vicki (Jim) Matheson of Sandusky, Kim (Mark) Harrington of Milan, Harold (Carmen) Baaske of Los Angeles, and Amy (Keith) England of Amherst; 17 grandchildren, Kelly, Katie, Elizabeth, Krista, Bridget, Mary, Jim, Abby, Kit, Mike, Meghan, Chris, Lindsey, Amanda, Ashley, Danny, and Lexi; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deloris Gifford of Huron and Corliss Johnson of Fremont, Ohio, and her cousin Shirley Ackerman of Sandusky as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Barbara was preceded in death by her three brothers, Kenneth, Allan "Mickey," and David Hemmer, and her son-in-law, Larry Frisch.
Barbara's legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the memories of her will forever be cherished. The family would also like to thank all of the caregivers from Stein Hospice and Amazing Angels for their care and compassion.
