Paul E. "Fuzzy" Garlock, 82, of Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 7, 2012 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on February 20, 1930 in Sandusky.
He was employed by the former New Departure Hyatt for 39 years, retiring in 1986.
Paul was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a member of Faith Memorial Church. He loved spending time with family at the cabin in Pennsylvania, visiting Rock City Church in Columbus (which his grandson founded), working on his 1942 jeep, and going to the drag races with his son.
Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Greene) Garlock, whom he married on February 20, 1954; children, Debbie (Jeff) Fisher and Darlene "Dar" (Steve) Larrick, both of Sandusky, and Moe (Cyndi) Garlock, Clyde, OH; grandchildren, Chad, Crystal, Jimmy, Brad, and Melissa; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Elta BeVier, Sandusky, Rose Miller, Castalia, and Barb (Ed) Eversole, Milan; brother, John Garlock, Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. A.L. and Leota (Gregg) Garlock; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Eversole, Naomi Gearheart, and Mary Walker; and brothers, Cliff, Dick, Roy, Abe, and Jim Garlock.
Friends may call on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. in Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky. On Tuesday friends may also call from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in the church. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, where the American Legion Post 83 Honor Guard will provide military honors. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is assisting the family with arrangements.
