Lawrence "Larry" W. Wright, 84, passed away on December 12, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Larry was born on October 23, 1939, in Henrietta, West Virginia.
He was a former Marine and served during the Vietnam War. He and his wife Trudy shared a wonderful 52 years of marriage together. Larry dedicated 35 years to Ford Motor Company and in that time developed a love of fixing and working on cars.
Larry loved being a grandpa, he enjoyed taking the kids to school and sometimes accidentally sending them to school in their pajamas. He was a family man and was always surrounded by family where they enjoyed his jokes and sarcastic sense of humor. Larry loved most animals, but most of all his beloved dog, Goober.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Vermeal Bennett; and sister, Lorena Waits.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Trudy Wright; his children, Melinda (Tim) Roth, Kimberly (William) Garwood, Laura (Jeff) Roe; his grandchildren, Haley (Brad Sullivan), Kylie, Natalie, Emily, & Bailey Roth, Evan & Garet Garwood, Cade, Carson, Cooper, and Calli Roe; and his siblings, Gary Bennett, Barbara Bennett, Karen Myers, Kathryn Gacek, and Karlene Ward.

Family and friends may attend visiting hours at the Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home located at 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio on Monday, Dec. 18th, from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation period.
