Terrance "Terry" Lee Boesch

Terrance "Terry" Lee Boesch, 75, passed away peacefully in Stein Hospice Care Center in the evening of Friday, December 15, 2023.

He was born February 15th, 1948, in Sandusky to the late Norman Richard and Audrey Jean (Alton) Boesch.

Terry graduated from Sandusky High School in 1966, where he ran varsity cross country. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Tripoli LPH 10. He served from December 21st, 1966, and was honorably discharged on September 30th, 1970. On April 30th, 1976, he married Agnes Eileen Weidinger, who was the absolute love of his life. They had 2 children, Tara (Boesch) Frost of N. Monroeville, OH and Jared Boesch of Polk, OH.

Terry was a dedicated employee at Scott Paper until they closed in 1981, then (West Vaco, Displayco) Chesepeak Display and Packaging until 1995 when he joined the team at CertainTeed Corporation in Avery, OH as the "dry-end" operator. He later retired from there in 2012. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus # 546 and the American Legion Post #83. He enjoyed the many good works of the Knights of Columbus in the community, as well as playing poker with brother Knights and fish fries. As a young adult he enjoyed bowling and dancing. He was a true fan of all Cleveland sports, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Terry loved animals, specifically dogs. He took pride in being a what he called "old fashioned." He enjoyed maintaining and keeping a daily log, and a meticulous and structured daily routine. Terry enjoyed his sweets, and his classic television shows on MeTV. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara (Mike) Frost, his son, Jared Boesch, grandchildren, Derricka, Carter, and Addison (Frost), Trevor and Katrina (Boesch), his brother, Al Boesch and sister-in-law, Pat (Decaro) Boesch, his nephew, Kris Boesch (all of St. Petersburg, FL), his sister-in-laws, Rosie Reer, Mary (Rolland "Butch") Sassman, Rita (Charlie) Weisz and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Terry is proceeded by his wife, Aggie in 2019, his nephew, Mike Boesch of St. Petersburg, FL, his brother-in-law, Don Reer, his cousin, Ron Kearsley (KIA in Vietnam), and all of his aunts and uncles.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky, OH. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 9:30 AM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Father Prashanth Kumar presiding at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave. Sandusky, OH. A burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park Huron, OH.
